I've got about 2000 miles on the Victory solo seat now and it's been much better than stock Kingpin or Stock Vegas seat. Probably not the best seat that I've ever ridden, but does OK. Can't find a reasonably priced Corbin to try and don't like the idea of a Mustang seat that doesn't fit the bike - big gaps, why do they do this???
Truth be told, I'm no leather type biker either. I learned a long time ago that leather sucks in the cold rainy months, I cut my ponytail off about 2 years ago, I drank way too much in my late teens-early twenties and got tired of the hangovers so I rarley drink anymore, but I DO have a few tattoos, and I also admire the hardbodies.

Now that I bought the Vision I'm sure that an enclosed trailer would be the best method of transporting it should I need to. I have no more money to afford a trailer nor the space to store one and i plan on riding it everywhere. How easy/difficult is it to use ramps and transport it in the bed of a pick up be? Mudge, The green/blue on later model VFC is only for enriching when using nitrous. I believe the older units (like mine) did talk about decel enrichment but from what I understand they are best left set at 0. The problem with the Vision is the settings can be very far off and it will still run. I have played hell getting the VFC set after building a stepped baffle for my L2 mufflers that I was never happy with. Follow the instructions for setting the IAC, you may need to adjust the Green or idle/cruise setting on the IAC. Turn in to stumble and out just far enought to restore 1100 rpm cold idle. You do not have thaqt much time. I would leave the accel and main fuel tip in points set at the regular settings for S1L1 with intake plate. The next most inmoptant setting for mw was the accel fuel and on my bike I needed to to drop it down from 4-4.5 to 3. Until I did that the bike actuall wanted the IAC out 1/2 to 1 turn out because I was rich on accell. Setting the accel fuel correctly the bike has a nice crisp response. If you have any question about the green/blue call Lloyd--until the set at 0.

Well that was an ordeal. Got it done, did change thebulbs in pairs, had a hard time finding the rear marker bulbs on a Sunday, but found them in the strangest place...the grocercy store of all places. I could not believe W5W bulbs there...go figure. The hardest part was the hid cable. There is not much room in there, and its all by feel. I did have to change the hid from my cracked headlite assembly to the one I bought due to the cable being about 3 inches shorter. But all said and done 4 hours this time and if I had to do it again probably 2 hours. Thanks for the replies,

Kingpin-Rider Jim Millington posted:
I have a darkside tire on my 2008 Vision and have no problems. I will say that cornering is a tiny bit more work but nothing to worry about. I run a Brigestone Poenza G109 195 55R 16. It fits well and has not rubbed regardless of the shock pressure, one or two up. The tire is at 32 psi and it feels great. The ride is pillowy soft, the performance in the rain is fantasitc and braking is like throwing out an anchor. I have ridden the prairies and the mountains without an issue. The best advice is to do a bunch of research on the various Darkside web sites, and talk to people that have done it in the past. It is not for everyone and I have met a bunch of those guys, and thats cool. I like it and a buddy of mine has a ton of miles on the dark side without issue. I like the part where if you go on a long trip you dont have to worry about a tire to come home on.the cost of the tire helps as well the car tires are generally way less than a bike tire, and last a bunch longer. Check the web sites and find the recomended tires and the non recomended tires there is a pile of info out there.

For me on a touring bike the darkside is the only way to go.

Good luck and good riding whichever way you decide.
